TMG’s overall cultural programming is in itself a strong motive of attraction. The cultural offer that the TMG provides to the population during the year generates economic activity, the affirmation of the city in the national cultural panorama and attraction of public of the city, region and the country.
In specific terms:
- Within the scope of the Educational Service, the National Cinema Plan plays a preponderant role, since it develops in children and young people skills at the level of contemporary audiovisual culture.
- Creative projects of community involvement are another very important practice in social inclusion through art, such as projects with elderly people, collectivities and associations (show of Janeiras and others), thus valuing the people of the territory.
- Large international artists’ shows are a vector of TMG’s cultural programming, which has proven to attract audiences and project the Guard in the national cultural landscape.
